Reading: Semester 2, Midterm Exam Information

Section 1: Skim Reading Story (15%)
You will be given a story to read at the beginning of the exam. You will have a short amount of time to read the story before it is taken away. You will then be given the question paper. Fifteen True / False questions for this section.

 

Section 2: Short Article (30%)

You will be given 350 word article with questions to check your comprehension. The questions are a mix of the main idea, vocabulary, true / false, fact & opinion and summarising.

 

Section 3: Newspaper Article (25%)

You will be given 700 word article with questions to check your comprehension. The questions are a mix of the main idea, true / false, opinions and short answer questions.

 

Section 4: Factual Article (30%)

You will be given a factual article with questions to check your comprehension. The questions are a mix of scanning the text, completing statements, fact & opinion and short answer questions.
