discussion about Chinese and English names.
Why use an English name? British people have
trouble pronouncing most Chinese names. Also most do not realise that the
Chinese family name comes first.
When a British person
sees a Chinese name they have no way of knowing if it is a man or woman!
Be very careful when
choosing an English name. English names are usually chosen for the sound of
the name, not for the meaning. You may decide on a name that has a good
meaning, but sounds strange to English people.
