Why use an English name?
British people have trouble pronouncing most Chinese names. Also most do not realise that the Chinese family name comes first.

When a British person sees a Chinese name they have no way of knowing if it is a man or woman!

Be very careful when choosing an English name. English names are usually chosen for the sound of the name, not for the meaning. You may decide on a name that has a good meaning, but sounds strange to English people.
